Who We Are
Keeping the door to education open
Across Tanzania and wider Africa, millions of young people with real academic potential have their education cut short, not because they lack ability, but because their families cannot afford the fees. The Choplife Foundation Education Programme exists to change that, one student at a time.
We work closely with community leaders and local authorities to identify students from the most disadvantaged backgrounds — orphans, children with disabilities, young people from severely low-income families — and cover their school or college fees directly.

Fees covered at every level of education
Primary school
Fees, materials, and associated costs to keep young children in school from the earliest years.
Secondary school
Annual secondary school fees, including for children who would otherwise be forced out mid-education.
College & higher education
College fees for young people pursuing professional qualifications and further education.
Children with disabilities
We specifically prioritise children with disabilities who have been excluded from mainstream education and are seeking entry.

Support is directed to students who fall through every other crack — those whose families have no safety net, whose communities have limited resources, and whose potential would otherwise go unrealised.

We don't run open applications. We work with community leaders and local authorities who know the families and can identify real need.

More than thirty young people have had their education funded through the Choplife Foundation, from primary school through to college level. Behind each number is a student who faced losing their place in education and was given the chance to continue.

Secondary school
An orphan raised by a grandmother with no stable income. Risked dropping out at Form 2. The Foundation covered her fees through to Form 4 completion.

A student with a physical disability attending primary school. Received full fee coverage and advocacy support to ensure the school provided appropriate accommodations.

From a single-parent household facing both food insecurity and school fee arrears. The Foundation cleared outstanding fees and committed to ongoing support through primary completion.
